A crafted spirits collection rooted in community.

The first craft distillery to open in Johannesburg, Time Anchor Distillery is proudly rooted in South African heritage, inspired by innovation, crafted by curiosity and founded on artisanal craftsmanship. 

Born out of a passion to share her alchemy creations with her community, Time Anchor Distillery, was founded in 2013 by Owner and Head Distiller, Shanna-Rae Wilby, and her now husband, Warrick Brown.
 
The distillery creates a boutique range of authentically crafted gins, whiskeys, rums and liqueurs in genuinely small batches. Tucked in the vibrantly trendy heart of Maboneng, the magic melting pot of the inner city, our charming distillery is proud to be Johannesburg’s first distillery distillery, operated under the watchful eye of Fenneck, our beloved distillery cat, of course. 
 
Shanna-Rae, a completely self-taught distiller, harnesses the skills and techniques from distillers of an old era, labouring over each bottle of spirits we make, so that we can share our commitment to creating an authentic craft movement, and provide truly artisanal spirits.

Bring magic to any moment with the opulent indulgence of a gold-infused gin. Mirari’s Celebration Gin is infused with 23-carat gold flakes. This elegant gin is perfectly balanced with plump, sweet piney juniper flavours. Refreshing citrus notes burst onto the palate, emerging along with a soft touch of saffron, which provides a silky mouth-feel. Our Mirari Celebration Gin is distilled with 13 hand selected botanicals, including freshly peeled blood orange, lemon, lime and grapefruit, which is gently vapour infused for a bright, bold citrus taste. So not only is it delicious, it’s also sugar free, gluten free and vegan friendly, with no artificial flavourings or colourings.
 
Mirari Celebration Gin

ABV: 43%

Botanicals: Juniper, coriander, angelica root, liquorice root, cassia bark, orris root, lemon, lime, sweet orange, blood orange, grapefruit, almond and saffron.

Volume:  750ml

 

Delight your senses with the whimsical flair of a florally-fragrant pink gin. Our Mirari Shimmer Gins, are the original shimmer gins, and are an entirely distillery exclusive range. With the same great taste and flavour as our standard Mirari Gins, swirl the bottle to activate the mythical shimmer. A signature botanical gin with floral bouquet notes, immediately followed by the candied citrus notes of grapefruit, all underpinned by cardamom and piney resinous flavours of juniper berries, with a layered juniper and floral rose finish. Our Mirari Pink Gin is distilled with over 1000 Damask Roses per 500l batch of Gin that we craft, and naturally coloured through the infusion of Hibiscus. So not only is it delicious, it’s also sugar free, gluten free and vegetarian friendly, with no artificial flavourings or colourings.
 
Shimmer Mirari Pink Damask Rose Gin

Botanicals: Juniper, coriander, angelica root, lemon, grapefruit, liquorice root, cardamom, cubeb berries, cassia bark, orris root, chamomile, damask roses and rose water.

Mix it up, with a gin liqueur, made from the finest gin and freshest lemons. Zesty, lemony and unmistakably junipery this liqueur is based on our award winning London-Dry Gin recipe. Vapour distilled with sun-dried lemon peels and then rested on fresh hand peeled lemon zest for 180 days. This citrus gin liqueur blends juniper and lemon together for a sumptuously sweet and refreshing zesty burst of flavour. Made in small batches of just 300 bottles twice a year! Top with tonic for a refreshingly light and bright G&T or simply sip over crushed ice. Best served chilled and can be stored in the freeze
