Rum is made over the course of years by distillers who are passionate about their product. We shared that passion when developing our range. Why would you mix with anything else?

We developed our rum mixers without compromising on flavour. That’s why we use real fruit juice as the base for all of our range.
However, our mixers don’t just perfectly complement rum – they are also low sugar and less fizzy than our competitors, which means you can drink them guilt- and bloat- free.
Supporting Rum
We are passionate about rum. Our founder, Katie, is allergic to all other alcoholic drinks but was tired of drinking rum and cola, which overpowers and hides the beautiful character of rum.
We spent over a year developing our mixers from kitchen samples through to first production. That’s why we’re confident that our rum mixers are the perfect pairing for rum.

That’s why we don’t make just another cola.
Stratford Sodas was launched in September 2021 by mixologist Katie Vaughan and her engineer fiance, Dan Stratford.
Rum is the only alcohol that Katie is not allergic to, but they found there were no good options for mixing rum. Ginger beer and cola were both too sweet and overpowered the subtle characters of the spirit, regardless of who made it.
Starting with some home recipes made with a Soda Stream and some of Katie’s mixology knowledge, and working with award-winning food and drink developers to productionise and perfect the recipes, they created a range of low sugar mixers designed to celebrate rum, not just smother it.
Stratford Sodas has developed the perfect citrus pairing for rum, which serves as the foundation of all of our mixers, and is the basis of our original Citrus flavour. From there we carefully selected 3 further expressions that subtly nod to our favourite rum drinks. We use real fruit juice, not from concentrate in all of our mixers, for the great flavour and natural sweetness which means that all our range are low sugar.
We then lightly carbonate our mixers to elevate the flavour and enhance the rum, while avoiding such heavy fizz to ensure that the drink won’t cause bloat like many colas and tonic waters.
This creates a mixer perfectly balanced for rum which allows the spirit to breathe and shine through, rather than totally overpower it.
