Capturing flavors from regionally sourced grains Lazy Guy Distillery whiskey offers a taste that is truly unique. We don’t have a huge portfolio portfolio and prefer to focus on small-batch products that best reflect our brand and the passion of those who drink Bourbon and Rye whiskey.
After years in the making, Georgia can finally lay claim to having its own Georgia Straight Bourbon – something that has been sadly lacking for decades. Well, that wait ended December 21st 2017. Embers has been released and is ready to elevate Georgia to the same place as other states known for ‘Straight’ whiskies. As of MAY 2020, Embers is now bottling as a 6-year old GA Straight Rye whiskey.
Our Side Track Bourbon was aged slowly aged with one goal in mind – to create the perfect Georgia Bourbon Whiskey. At 90 proof, this bourbon has a caramel note, youthful character and smooth finish that reflects our passion for producing a truly unique
and unmatched bourbon. Escape the mainstream and venture down the Side Track. As of December 2019, Side Track Bourbon is now a ‘GA Straight Bourbon’ with an average age of 2.5 years.

Atlanta Gin is the perfect blend of botanicals, citrus and juniper. When we set out to make a Gin, we wanted a Gin you could drink ‘neat’. Gin drinkers would agree that finding a perfectly balanced Gin you can drink neat is often a challenge. Atlanta Gin is a shining example of a perfect ‘sipping Gin’. Not dry, not too sweet, not Juniper forward, this flavorful spirit is also a great way to take your favorite Gin cocktail to the next level.

Our small batch distilling process uses a unique blend of corn, wheat and barley briefly aged in American Oak toasted barrels for a complex character, refined flavor and smooth finish. The sweetness of the corn, mildness of the wheat and richness of the barley deliver the perfect threesome.

Lazy Guy Distillery is located in the heart of downtown Kennesaw, just northwest of Atlanta. Kennesaw has deep historical roots dating back to General Sherman’s March to the Sea during the Civil War. Prominent for its railroad locomotive “The General” and its key location close to the capital of Georgia, Kennesaw is the perfect place to make whiskey, a practice that has been revered throughout American history.

The two buildings which comprise our distillery operations are just around the corner from the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive. Our office and distillery buildings date back to the 1800’s and have a rich heritage themselves. These historic buildings have witnessed many changes over the decades, just as whiskey making in America has witnessed change. From the Whiskey Rebellion in the late 1700’s to the Prohibition Era in the 1920’s, Whiskey has been a cornerstone of many American events and even served as a means of currency more than once in our country’s history.
