Dumas Rum is made using a combination of pot and column stilling in Texas, starting with a molasses base. The pot and column rums are blended and aged in previously used American Oak Whiskey barrels for at least 14 years. After aging, the rum is sent to Dragon Distillery in Frederick, Maryland where it is blended and reduced to its final proof of 80 and 40% abv. This spring, Dumas will also be launching a cask proof line with the full 130 proof for a more discerning drinker.
