Our journey began with a vision that sprouted from Ecuador’s fertile soil—to capture the extraordinary essence of one of nature’s most exotic treasures: the dragon fruit. At La Felipa Fruit & Wine, located in the heart of Manabí’s rich agricultural landscape, we didn’t just want to create another spirit; we sought to bottle the very soul of Ecuador’s vibrant biodiversity.

Founded by Sebastián Vélez with a passion for innovation and deep respect for tradition, our distillery was born from the simple desire to share the unique character of our estate-grown pitahaya with the world. What started as an exclusive offering for visitors to Hacienda La Felipa—known for exporting premium dragon fruit—evolved into a mission to create Ecuador’s first and finest dragon fruit spirits.

The creation of Drakon was no overnight success but rather a meticulous journey of experimentation and refinement. Every aspect of production—from cultivation practices to harvesting schedules, from fermentation techniques to distillation parameters—was carefully developed and perfected. Our relentless pursuit of excellence demanded that any deviation from our exacting standards would mean starting the entire process anew.
