Bob Bitters

Bob has taken an innovative approach to bitters, eschewing the usual method of using lots of different ingredients to create a complex flavour. Bob’s Bitters originally concentrated on creating single-ingredient, artisan bitters to mirror the varied flavour profile of gin’s botanical ingredients including cardamon, ginger and grapefruit.

Instead of taking the traditional blended-bitters route, Bob approached the development of his products using his culinary background. The resultant elixirs each contain an authentic, specific flavour, allowing the user to impart an intense, individual taste to a concoction. It’s why so many of today’s best mixologists see good bitters as the glue that holds a cocktail together.

Bob’s Bitters are crafted in the traditional method using only the finest natural ingredients. From lavender to vanilla, chocolate to orange and mandarin, Bob uses the finest ingredients steeped in locally sourced neutral spirit to create a collection of small-batch bitters that embody the purest flavour profiles.

The range has grown to include the complex, aromatic Bob’s Abbotts Bitters as well as the Seasonal Range depicting those individual characteristics, tastes and aromas. Whether it be the scented blossoms of Bob’s Spring Bitters or an abundance of summer fruits and herbs in Bob’s Summer Bitters, the aromatic spices, barks and autumnal fruits of Bob’s Autumn Bitters or Bob’s Winter Bitters, reminiscent of Christmas, with citrus, spices and dried fruits, the options are endless.

The latest creations from Bob’s Bitters were made in collaboration with Simon Difford of Difford’s Guide to include Difford’s Daiquiri Bitters and Difford’s Margarita Bitters. These bitters add the finishing touch to a Daiquiri and Margarita and for every bottle sold, Bob’s Bitters will donate £1 to The Drinks Trust Charity.
